The Irish held the Cardinal to five field goals, or this game could have gotten way out of hand.Boston College ( 2-1, 0-1 ACC)The Eagles ran into a hungry Virginia Tech team last week, but a few things really hurt this team or this game could have been much closer than what it was.The Eagles were intercepted in their own end zone and stopped short of the goal line as time expired. It was a bad day for quarterback Dave Shinskie, as he was responsible for the interception that cost the Eagles their first score, and then later had a fumble and another interception in the second half. Shinksie would eventually be pulled from the game in favor of backup Mike Marscovetra.Running back Montel Harris had a nice day on the ground with 111 yards on 19 carries, but most of those yards came early in the game.The defense actually played extremely well considering how little the offense did in this game. They held the Hokies to just one touchdown and four field goals, as they did everything they could to keep their team in the game. If the defense continues to play like they did against Virginia Tech, the Eagles are going to be just fine this season.Looking at the Odds I think you have to take the Eagles at +2.5 in this game.
