Report: Cavs' Officials Expect LeBron James To Return, No Deal For Chris Bosh

Elsa/Getty ImagesAfter years of anticipation and uncertainty, there are growing indications that LeBron James is staying home. Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski used Twitter to report that Cleveland Cavalier officials are confident that Chris Bosh won’t be playing for the Cavs next season, but Atlanta Falcons jersey
LeBron James will. Wojnarowski cited multiple sources in direct contact with Cavaliers officials. Wojnarowski’s tweet came amidst growing speculation that James spent the morning talking to Bosh in an effort to lure him to Cleveland.Bosh reportedly has interest in playing alongside LeBron, but not if doing so means a sign-and-trade that would send him to Cleveland.Tuesday's news presumably eliminates the Cavaliers from the Bosh sweepstakes while leaving the door open for a Wade-Bosh marriage in either Chicago or Miami. Earlier Tuesday afternoon, Yahoo reported that despite some reports to the contrary, the Raptors hadn’t spoken to Bosh since last week. Wojnarowski reported that although the Raptors had held preliminary discussions with the Cavaliers, no specific pieces as part of a potential trade were ever discussed. James was absent from his basketball camp in Akron Tuesday morning but arrived early in the afternoon without making any statements to reporters. James debuted his Twitter account, @kingjames, Tuesday morning tweeting, “Hello World, the Real King James is in the Building.” An official non-Twitter announcement regarding James’s future could come as soon as tomorrow. Expecting word Thursday or Friday appears to be more realistic at this point.
