Jets sign WR Clowney, cut RB Woodhead

The Jets signed WR David Clowney(notes) and waived RB Danny Woodhead(notes) on Tuesday.
Clowney, who was waived by New York on Sept. 5, has nfl jersey
played in 15 games in two seasons with the Jets. He had 14 catches for 191 yards and a touchdown in 13 games in 2009.
The Packers drafted Clowney in the fifth round of Indianapolis Colts jersey
the 2007 draft.
Woodhead, who was signed in October 2009, played in 10 of the final 11 games and had eight receptions for 87 yards and 15 carries for 64 yards.
The way we see it
QB Mark Sanchez(notes) was just 10-of-21 passing for 74 yards in Monday night's season opener against the Ravens. The Jets could use some help in the passing game, especially as WR Santonio Holmes(notes) serves his suspension. Clowney is a deep threat who can help open Minnesota Vikings jersey
